Home made music

Post by Guest on 25/3/2010, 12:38

Yeah beware this one, blatant self promotion! This is my band The Stench of Justice <link
I've been working on a demo, and made all the songs on the site free to download. It's kinda industrial, and it sounds pretty rough, but I gotta take some pride in what I do! So enjoy it if your brave enough to listen!

classy name for a band. haven't listened but I take it is a cover of a spice girls hit or perhaps something from the sugar babes?

I don't have much, a cheapo Casio keyboard, FL Studio, and a bunch of freeware VST's. I wanna get more into the analog synths, but the gear is so expensive. I still need alot of work when it comes to mastering. I dont suppose you have any tips for me?

I wouldnt worry too much about mastering just yet..Mastering is only done if and when a record is going to CD or onto the radio..I havent used FL studio..ive a small Pro Tools set up which is ok but there isnt much free stuff you can use with it! Just keep cranking out the tunes and having fun..thats the most important thing. You are lucky that you have the talent to create in the first place! When you are rich and famous you had better remember us!!

Nice. Reminds me of "Machines of Loving Grace" but less Pop and more Industrial. I wish I had more time for music. These days I just remix Nine Inch Nails Wink http://remix.nin.com/play/mix?id=11872

Nice one mate, not my cup off tea but though. I found trying to get a demo produced a major headache. Today, doing a demo CD is easier than the days of the 4 track recorder.
