Recipe

Post by USMCWeatherMan on 7/2/2009, 19:47

Not sure how many cooks we have here, I personally dont mind it, but hate the cleaning up. Every now and then I like to try out a new recipe. The wife found this chili recipe, says its the BEST EVER. Its simmering on the stove right now for the ultimate taste test in about an hour and a half. Its pretty simple, and the best part is its got BEER and COFFEE in it?!?!? After getting it all ready to simmer I tasted a little bit, and must say it was f'n awesome. Here it is, copied from (http://www.recipezaar.com/The-Best-Chili-You-Will-Ever-Taste-73166):

The Best Chili You Will Ever Taste Recipe #73166

This is the best chili recipe I have ever tried. I'm not sure where the recipe originated, but it is amazing! Sometimes, I don't bother adding all four cans of the kidney beans and it still turns out wonderful. Once anyone tastes this chili, they will be begging for the recipe!! Enjoy!

I must say this turned out f'n awesome!!! Just ate 2 bowls, look out now Shocked Shocked. For the beer I used 12ounces of Guiness and for the coffee I brewed a strong cup of French Roast. I was skeptical, but now I'm a believer. This was the BEST DAMN chili I've ever had.

No sweat guys, the coffee grinds definitely probably wouldnt have turned out right.

The first tastes yesterday, like i said, were f'n awesome. I'll see how the re-heated leftovers taste today.

Also, a couple things I did (or didnt do): only chopped up one onion, when I got done chopping the one it looked like a shitload of onions so I skipped the second. I also only used 2 medium-hot chili peppers instead of the 4. And lastly I only used 2 cans of kidney beans. Still turned out awesome in my opinion.
