something that will never get said here at arc!

Post by Lord Farnswaller on 13/1/2011, 12:56

Is there a genius in all of us?

When a mummy troll and a daddy douchebag love each other very much, they share a special hug. Sometimes, nine months later, the result is a beautiful baby shat goblin.

To tea bag or not tea bag– that is the question:
Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer
The noscoping and douche bags of outrageous fortune,
Or to take arms against a sea of asshats
And, by opposing, end them

Agree. I think genetics helps a bit, serves as a foundation/potential but it's up to us to harness and nourish it to take it to the next level. I don't believe in stupid people either (at least in the born to be stupid sense). Intelligence standardized tests have only served to opress people because there are many different forms of intelligence and it can't be measured. People need to find their niche/comfort zone/environment to express their intelligence. There's a certain world famous composer whose name escapes me now but years back, they suggested they take her to see a shrink to see why she can't stay still in class, get good grades, etc. When she went to the shrink, the shrink told her mom to walk out of the room while the child stayed in the room. The shrink turned up the music, and told her mom to watch her through a glass window. The girl started to dance and the shrink told her mom to put her in music school...years fast forwarded the girl turned out to be a world renown musical genius. What was thought of a problem child, a dumb child had a genius in her all the time, just that people were to ignorant to see it or believe in her. It's all about finding your niche/passion and working at it. Once you found it, there's no need to drag yourself to do something. Intelligence comes in many different forms. Standardized tests = FAIL!

Paul McCartney was also a terrible student. He actually left school to pursue his love for music with his parents ok. He followed his passion and the rest is history. Is Paul dumb? Certainly not! He became one of the most important musicians in history. Paul's parents knew that following your dream was important.
