Unless I was given a suit like Iron Mans and some body paid me, I would never waste my time with something like this, this kind of **** is for the cops.
I like what he's doing though; very brave...stupid but brave, I hope no one kills this guy. No

Perhaps I'm to cynical but I always just assume things like this are some kind of viral advert, I bet that comic book shop is seeing more trade.

Oh and Kick Ass was so awful I've vowed to never go to the cinema again, can't belive what they did to that comic book.

Maybe it's just a sign of the times, people have such little faith in the police and the judicial system they lash out to protect themselves!....
or maybe not... cool suit though.

Perhaps it helps not knowing the comic book (like me). I liked it.

Yeah, it might well be a good film if you don't know the comic but I was just watching something that missed the point and tottaly changed the story so that it was worthless. So now I just bitch about it all the time. Razz

That's ok Mutant. Maybe they should have had a disclaimer: "BASED ON Kickass the comic"
But you comic guys always slate comic based movies regrdless how good. Its as if someone stole your personal belongings. You want it to be exclusive and not shown to the masses. You comic dudes are all the same! lol!

No, to be fair I think it might just be me. I hate any thing that doesn't stick to the orginal or lacks historical accuracy. I mean I don't see the point of talking, say the work of a genius like Alan Moore and changing it around. I am a firm beliver that comic books can not be turned into good films, they are a differenet media, they do different things. I'd be happy for the masses to see it if they were getting the same thing I was getting but if the story gets changed then its not the same and they all get a crappy version. Then I get angry that people will spend time and money to see a film but not to read the comic book. And then I get told to calm down and I have to go for a lay down.

Im just pulling legs here! I know what you mean Mutant. Comic books may be different, well, they are, than books....but I hate when people compare books to movies. Automatically, I know we've all heard this before: "The book was better" :/ Wow Really? Of course it was "better" because with books you imagine the ideal everything. Although books describe, there is a lot of detail that is meant for the reader to come up with. Also, to fit a book into a 2 hour movie you need to edit the source. It's not that the book is better, it's that the images you create from the book are better, because you are part of the creative process and you create the ideal scenes, scenarios, details, etc. Last but not least, the cliché "The book was better" is used by people who want you to know they read it. Instead of saying "Oh I read the book too". It's as if it gives them some validation. Go figure.
